Emily earned her bachelor’s degree in Biology from Drake University in 1999, Masters of Physical Therapy from Rockhurst University in 2006 and Doctor of Physical Therapy from University of Kansas Medical Center in 2010. Emily has worked exclusively in outpatient orthopedic physical therapy since 2006. She received her Orthopaedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) certification from the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties in 2015, making her a content expert in orthopedic physical therapy and in the 6% of physical therapists nationwide with this advanced certification. Emily divides her time between Performance Rehab and as an adjunct instructor in the Doctor of Physical Therapy program at Rockhurst University, where she has taught since 2013. She enjoys working with students and clients of all ages to guide them in the benefits of physical therapy to stay active and healthy. Emily’s daughter is a gymnast and she has a special interest in treating adolescent female athletes to work towards injury rehab and prevention in sports. Emily enjoys spending time with her family and children at their various activities, hiking, going to the lake and traveling.
