Kristi attended Kansas State University prior to being accepted into the OT program at Newman University where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy in 1999. She enjoyed working in various areas of OT in her early career (home health, trauma, acute care, spinal cord, clinical instructor, etc.) to gain exposure and experience in the differing areas of her profession to gain a wider knowledge base for application with her patient care. In 2009 she achieved the credential of CHT (certified hand therapist) and had transitioned to full time in outpatient orthopedic upper extremity rehabilitation. She opened a division of a UE specialty practice within the Steadman-Hawkins clinic Denver where she treated a variety of patients for shoulder, elbow, wrist and hand injuries. She was fortunate to work with colleagues of various disciplines and additionally specialize in sports medicine whether it was on a high school level, college, weekend warrior and/or professional athlete. As a native of Kansas, Kristi and her family moved to the Kansas City area where she continues work as an upper extremity specialist in an outpatient orthopedic setting. Kristi enjoys treating patients from all walks of life and her goal is to help people get back to the activities which they find most meaningful in their lives. In her personal time, she enjoys watching sports, spending time with her family, friends, dogs, and traveling.
