Laurie Garber, OTR/L, CHT

Laurie is an Occupational Therapist and Certified Hand Therapist with a strong passion for treating hand and upper extremity injuries. She specializes in managing complex conditions and custom splinting, and finds great fulfillment in helping patients restore motion, rebuild strength, and return to the activities they love.

Her diverse clinical background spans industrial rehabilitation, private practice, and hospital-based settings, allowing her to bring a well-rounded and adaptable approach to patient care. Laurie is committed to continuous growth and actively seeks opportunities to expand her skills and take on new challenges.

At KCOI, Laurie collaborates closely with patients and an interdisciplinary team, including physicians, physician assistants, nursing staff, and fellow therapists, to achieve high-quality outcomes and meaningful results. She values strong relationships built on clear communication, trust, and teamwork.

Outside of work, Laurie enjoys spending time with her family and relaxing at the lake.

My Education: 

  • BS in Occupational Therapy from the University of Kansas 
  • Certification in Hand Therapy

  • Custom Orthosis Fabrication
